8VC invests in and builds technology companies in life sciences, healthcare, manufacturing, enterprise software, logistics and defence.
Its Build programme creates companies when the team identifies an opportunity without an existing business to back. This adds a company-formation route to its conventional investment activity, relevant to entrepreneurs developing a technology platform from the outset.
The firm also runs engineering and Bio-IT fellowships connecting emerging technical talent with its companies. These programmes reflect its emphasis on recruiting builders for sectors where software, scientific expertise and physical operations intersect.
