Wispr raises $280m to improve voice accuracy across work apps
The Series B values the company at $2bn and backs speech research as its products expand from dictation into meeting notes.
Reducing the need to edit dictated text
Wispr says most of the financing will support recognition accuracy and broader access to its voice tools. Alongside the round, it previewed a proprietary speech model designed for noisy environments and mixed-language speech.
Flow turns speech into writing across applications, while Notetaker captures meetings. Improving the underlying models supports both uses: fewer corrections in individual dictation and better capture of conversations. Menlo Ventures and Notable Capital lead the financing, with PLUS Capital and named athletes among the participants.
Returning investors
NEA, Neo Ventures, 8VC and MVP Ventures were among the existing investors that reinvested. The Series B brought Wispr’s total funding to $361 million.
