Strawberry raises $6m for AI companions inside the browser
General Catalyst and EQT Ventures led the October 2025 financing to expand engineering and design work on browser automation.
Stockholm-based Strawberry announced $6 million in financing on 14 October 2025, led by General Catalyst and EQT Ventures. Founders of Lovable, Supabase and Hugging Face also participated. The company planned to use the capital to expand engineering and design while iterating with beta users.
Strawberry embeds AI companions into the browser to automate tasks across websites and workplace tools. Early uses included competitive research and sales prospecting, with companions handling workflows such as gathering information, populating spreadsheets and drafting messages.
The financing accompanied an upgraded product rollout and expanded customer onboarding. Co-founder and CEO Charles Maddock described the browser as a way to make automation accessible to workers without requiring technical expertise or a separate enterprise implementation.
