adsilico raises £10m Series A to expand virtual-patient device testing
PXN Ventures led the round, with Northern Gritstone and Parkwalk backing further cardiac and neurovascular simulation development.
Leeds-based adsilico has raised £10 million in a Series A round led by PXN Ventures, with participation from existing investors Northern Gritstone and Parkwalk. The funding will support development of its virtual-heart models, expansion into neurovascular devices and hiring.
The company helps medical-device manufacturers examine how implants perform across anatomical differences that can be difficult to represent in clinical studies. Its Virtual Chimera platform generates virtual hearts and blood vessels from anonymised scans and combines them with physics-based simulations.
Founded in 2024 by Sheena Macpherson, Nishant Ravikumar and Zeike Taylor, adsilico has worked with heart-valve and neurovascular-device manufacturers. Its planned expansion includes flow diverters used to treat brain aneurysms, extending the simulation approach beyond cardiac implants.
