Moises raises $8.65m seed for AI music tools
Kickstart and Monashees co-lead the financing of the company now known as Music AI.
Moises announced an $8.65 million seed round in August 2022, co-led by Kickstart and Monashees. Other investors included Norwest Venture Partners, Valutia, Toba Capital, Alumni Ventures and Goodwater Capital. The company’s own account dates the closing to August 10; contemporaneous coverage dates the public announcement to August 22.
At the time, Moises reported more than 20 million registered users and over 50 employees, with teams concentrated in Salt Lake City and João Pessoa. It was extending its ambitions beyond a musician-facing app: businesses were already testing its audio-processing API, creating a route to serve the broader music industry.
