Lumilab raises pre-seed led by Giant Ventures for energy operations
The Danish company will expand its team and deploy AI agents across energy-asset operations.
Lumilab announced a pre-seed funding round led by Giant Ventures on 20 October 2026. Individual investors Nicolaj Reffstrup, Tommy Ahlers and Thomas Skov Reunert also participated. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The Danish company will use the funding to expand its team and support deployment across global energy operations. Its software brings AI agents into operational systems to investigate issues and coordinate actions, with human operators retaining control.
Founded by Sofus Laub Erdal, William Heuser, Andreas Patscheider and Mikkel Weikop, Lumilab grew out of work at the University of Copenhagen. The company says its technology supports more than 45,000 physical assets in over 30 countries.
