Ferovinum announces £100 million inventory-financing deal with NatWest and BCI

The arrangement funds wine and spirits inventories, with NatWest providing an £80 million phased transaction.

Portfolio funding for the drinks trade

Ferovinum announced a £100 million financing arrangement on July 19, 2023, with NatWest and UK credit manager BCI Capital. NatWest leads the portfolio-funding arrangements through an £80 million phased transaction.

The remainder comes from Ferovinum’s equity investors and BCI Capital, its portfolio-funding partner since 2021. The arrangement finances inventories on the platform; the £100 million describes the financing structure rather than a corporate equity round.

Releasing capital tied up in stock

Ferovinum combines funding with supply-chain technology for wine and spirits businesses. The model gives businesses more flexibility to finance stock while providing funders with visibility into the underlying assets.

The company later adopted the Fero brand.
