Lovey secures £50m committed lending facility from Pollen Street
The agreement includes a £200m accordion, taking potential capacity to £250m as the UK lender expands its own-book lending.
Committed funding and expansion capacity
Lovey has agreed a senior secured credit facility with Pollen Street Capital comprising £50 million of committed capital and a £200 million accordion. The expandable structure could take total capacity to £250 million.
The committed amount will support growth in loans made from Lovey’s own balance sheet. The accordion gives the business scope to increase the facility beyond its initial commitment.
Growing a lender alongside its brokerage
Founded by Jack Smith in 2016, Lovey combines direct lending with brokerage for UK small and medium-sized businesses. It began lending from its own balance sheet in 2022.
The facility increases the capital available for that lending operation as the company continues to serve businesses through its wider network of funding partners.
