Mesotron develops wearable, noninvasive brain-computer interfaces that combine sensitive EEG measurement with AI for decoding brain signals.
Developing a wearable brain interface
Mesotron is developing a high-sensitivity EEG device and neural-decoding AI for a brain-computer interface that can be worn externally. Its programme aims to translate brain signals into useful input without inserting electrodes into the brain.
One target is a silent-speech experience. The company is improving measurement prototypes, collecting EEG data in Japan and the United States and developing the decoding software needed to demonstrate that interaction.
Research and product development
Based in Tsukuba, Japan, Mesotron was founded by neuroscientist Shuntaro Sasai. The company is building a research and business-development team around the measurement hardware, signal data and software needed to bring its interface toward practical use.
