Time Prediction raises ¥60m from Incubate Fund for ALS diagnostic development

The Kyoto University spinout will expand work on ALS iScan, combining patient-derived iPS cells with AI.

Time Prediction announced ¥60 million in financing from Incubate Fund on December 9, 2024, through the issuance of J-KISS share-acquisition rights. The transaction brought its cumulative funding to ¥130 million.

The company plans to expand its research and development capacity, focusing on ALS iScan, a diagnostic-support service for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Its approach combines patient-derived iPS cells with AI analysis to study disease states and develop tools for earlier diagnosis.

The Kyoto University spinout is building on research from the university’s Center for iPS Cell Research and Application. ALS iScan remained under development at the announcement; the financing supports that work and the company’s broader neurological-disease prediction technology.
