The Exploration Company raises $450m Series C for reusable space transport
The financing will advance Nyx cargo-capsule demonstrations and the Storm engine as the company scales orbital logistics.
A reusable route between Earth and orbit
The Exploration Company is developing Nyx, a reusable cargo capsule designed to carry supplies to orbital stations and return to Earth, alongside Storm, a high-thrust rocket engine. Together, the systems target repeatable orbital logistics rather than one-way launches.
The $450 million Series C, co-led by Bessemer Venture Partners, Atomico and EQT’s Scaleup Europe Fund, will fund Nyx development and demonstration and advance Storm testing. The company says it has more than $2 billion in public- and private-sector contracts and commitments, giving it a substantial pipeline as it prepares Nyx for an International Space Station mission.
