Xona builds Pulsar, a satellite navigation system for precise and resilient positioning and timing.

Product

Operators of autonomous vehicles, industrial equipment and critical infrastructure need positioning and timing that hold up when conventional GPS is obstructed or disrupted. Xona is developing a low-Earth-orbit constellation to deliver stronger navigation signals and a complementary source of time.

Its software-defined satellites support updates in orbit. A distributed clock architecture compares timing sources across the constellation, while the planned full network comprises 258 spacecraft. Xona designs and assembles the satellites in Burlingame, California, using modular subsystems and in-house testing.
