Tellus Global raises more than ¥900m following Tellus management buyout
The new company takes over the satellite-data business and will develop domestic infrastructure and AI analytics.
Tellus Global completed financing exceeding ¥900 million in connection with the management buyout and succession of the existing Tellus business. The package includes third-party share issuance; the release does not allocate the entire amount by instrument.
The new company took over the business in August 2026. Funding supports Japan-based satellite-data infrastructure and AI analytics as it expands the platform's applications in security and overseas markets.
Ant Innovations No. 1 Fund led the financing, with Mitsubishi UFJ Capital No. 10 Fund, DEEPCORE Fund III, DG Daiwa Ventures and Fusic among recorded participants. The platform combines imagery, analysis tools and cloud computing for public, research and industrial users.
