Superluminal Medicines raises $60m Series B for obesity programmes
Its pipeline focuses on endocrine and cardiometabolic disease, including forms of obesity.
Superluminal Medicines raised $60 million in Series B funding led by BVF Partners. The company will advance lead programmes for rare genetic and hypothalamic obesity alongside its broader pipeline of GPCR-targeted small-molecule therapies.
The financing backs internal drug programmes as well as continued development of the discovery platform used in pharmaceutical collaborations, including work with Eli Lilly.
Its Hyperloop platform combines receptor structures, protein dynamics, machine learning and experimental validation to identify molecules for difficult GPCR targets. The programmes remain in development.
