More installations, better demand prediction
Reservoir had installed nearly 100 units around Boston at the announcement. The funding will support more installations locally and in new cities, while data from different homes and usage patterns helps refine its prediction models.
The company designs, builds and installs its own equipment and plans to train apprentices on both plumbing and smart hardware. Its heaters anticipate household demand and can store heat produced when power is cheaper or renewable generation is abundant.
