Poseidon Aerospace raises $11m seed for cargo-aircraft development
Egret is a short-takeoff freighter; Heron is designed to operate as a seaplane.
Drover Ventures, Cade Ventures, Fortitude VC, Draper Associates, GoAhead Ventures and Starship Ventures also participated.
The financing supports development and manufacturing of Egret, a short-takeoff-and-landing freighter, and Heron, a seaplane. Poseidon has a manufacturing facility in Brunswick, Maine and plans flight testing after the round.
The programs remain in development. Their designs target commercial freight and defense logistics using small airstrips, remote coasts and water-based operating sites.
