O-ID raises $1m pre-seed for modular humanoids
TAWANI Ventures led the financing, with Hustle Fund and Techstars participating.
O-ID plans to move its first model from prototype toward mass production and prepare Japanese factory deployments. Factory pilots are planned for 2027.
The company’s modular design allows joints, limbs and end effectors to be replaced during servicing. Its next development step is turning that prototype into equipment suitable for industrial pilots.
