Nova Spectral AI raises ₹21.15 crore seed for infrared sensor development
Shastra VC leads backing for a Bengaluru semiconductor team targeting lower-cost vision in demanding conditions.
Nova Spectral AI announced a ₹21.15 crore seed round on October 27, led by Shastra VC with Equirus InnovateX Fund and angel investors participating.
The startup aims to make short-wave infrared sensing affordable for more defence and physical AI applications. It says its manufacturing approach could reduce costs by up to 100 times compared with conventional indium gallium arsenide sensors; that remains a development goal.
