CHD, short for Connected Health Development, is developing MONI2 to help clinicians monitor high-risk pregnancies beyond hospital visits. Its washable textile belt is designed to capture maternal and fetal ECG signals, uterine contractions, fetal movements and position.
A smartphone app would provide basic indicators to the pregnant woman, while a secure clinical portal would give healthcare professionals access to data and predictive indicators. The Epalinges-based company plans consumer and medical versions of the system and is developing and validating its prototypes.
