Moonwalk Biosciences raises $70m Series B to advance MW101
Its lead candidate is designed to affect adipose tissue while limiting effects on lean muscle and other tissues.
Khosla Ventures, Eli Lilly and Company, ARCH Venture Partners, Future Ventures and Gaorong Ventures also participated.
The financing supports lead obesity candidate MW101 through IND-enabling development toward first-in-human studies planned for late 2027. Moonwalk also plans to expand its tissue-targeted siRNA pipeline and advance its discovery platform.
The broader pipeline includes earlier-stage obesity and lipid-lowering programs. The clinical timetable is a planned milestone; the candidates remain investigational.
