Moonwalk Biosciences

United States · Biotech

Moonwalk Biosciences is developing adipose-targeted siRNA medicines for obesity and cardiometabolic disease. Its lead programs are designed to alter fat-tissue pathways while limiting effects on other tissues, with the lead obesity candidate in IND-enabling development ahead of planned human testing in 2027.

RNA therapies aimed at adipose tissue

Moonwalk develops small interfering RNA (siRNA) medicines intended to act in adipose tissue. The company combines human genetics and multi-omics research with tissue-targeting chemistry to modulate pathways involved in fat biology, aiming to address obesity and related cardiometabolic conditions while limiting effects on lean tissue.

Its pipeline includes MW101 for obesity, which Moonwalk says is in IND-enabling development with first-in-human studies planned for late 2027, as well as additional obesity and lipid-lowering programs at earlier stages. The candidates remain investigational; the company is advancing a therapeutic pipeline rather than a marketed medicine.
