Molecular Targeting Technologies receives $3.17m NCI grant

The five-year award will support preclinical and translational development of an investigational radiopharmaceutical for non-small cell lung cancer.

Advancing an investigational targeted therapy

The National Cancer Institute grant will support MTTI’s development of lutetium-177 EBRGD, a radiopharmaceutical designed to target integrin αvβ3, a receptor associated with tumor biology and angiogenesis. The work is intended to build the scientific, manufacturing and regulatory foundation for evaluating the candidate in patients with non-small cell lung cancer, subject to regulatory and clinical readiness.

The program builds on EvaThera, MTTI’s platform for adding reversible albumin binding to targeted molecules to modify their circulation and tissue distribution. EBRGD is investigational; the award supports preclinical research, drug-product manufacturing and preparation for potential clinical studies.

Use of funds
