MicroLub raises £7m to turn customer trials into commercial agreements
The financing supports team growth, ingredient development and expansion into the US and Asia.
Northern Gritstone contributed £4 million to the £7 million round. Existing investors from MicroLub’s 2024 financing also returned, including NPIF II–PXN Equity Finance.
MicroLub has moved from laboratory work to industrial-scale manufacturing and is working with large food and ingredient companies. It plans to convert existing customer trials into commercial agreements while developing its proprietary ingredient technology.
The planned international expansion builds on applications across dairy, bakery, beverages and plant-based foods, where reducing fat can affect texture.
