MCatalysis raises $5m seed for industrial pilot in Lyon

HL Energy Ventures and Oxford Science Enterprises led the round to build a pilot at Axel One in Lyon.

The $5m financing will support an industrial pilot while MCatalysis continues research and development in London. Its modular refining systems convert feedstocks such as off-gas, waste plastics and biomass into drop-in fuels.

A UKRI award mentioned in coverage is separate from the seed round and is not included in the $5m total.
