Magma Holdings discloses funding for nationwide sauna expansion
The Tokyo company plans to develop more Magma Spa sauna locations and strengthen its operating team.
Magma Holdings disclosed completed fundraising and its plans to expand Magma Spa sauna venues across Japan on 26 October 2026. The company did not disclose the amount raised or a financing stage.
Capital for locations and operations
The company plans to use the capital for site development, its business infrastructure and organisation. It is recruiting across property sourcing, corporate sales, business development, venue operations and management.
Its strategy centres on directly operated saunas in convenient locations, supported by partnerships and repeat-use services. The business combines steam and heat from natural lava plates in public, private and outdoor sauna formats.
An investor base behind the expansion
Magma Holdings named Toru Shimada, Tomoyoshi Nishiyama and Pro Labo Holdings among the investors supporting the company. Its announcement describes that investor base across previous fundraising, without assigning each backer to a separately dated closing.
Founded in Tokyo in March 2023, the company is led by Kosuke Watanabe. Its current work includes location development, operating partnerships and building the team needed for a wider sauna network.
