Hubble Network raises $200m to expand Bluetooth satellite connectivity
Smith Point Capital led the Series C, announced as Hubble opened its satellite network to developers of Bluetooth LE devices.
Seraphim, Carthona Capital, Earthshot Ventures, Y Combinator and RPM Ventures also participated. The round valued the company at $1.6bn.
Hubble will use the funding to expand its constellation and lower connectivity costs. Its software allows compatible Bluetooth devices to send location and sensor data beyond terrestrial coverage, supporting asset tracking without a dedicated satellite modem.
