Hop Aero raises $11m seed round led by Initialized Capital

The financing backs development of autonomous cargo rockets ahead of engine and flight tests.

Hop Aero raised $11 million in seed financing on October 1, led by Initialized Capital. Lunar Ventures, Outsized Ventures and Y Combinator participated.

The company is building propulsion, aerostructures and autonomous-guidance teams for military micro-payload delivery. Engine static-fire and flight tests are planned ahead of defense demonstrations.
