Autonomous hypersonic cargo rockets are being developed to deliver military micro-payloads to remote or contested locations. GPS-denied guidance and precision point landing are central to the system, which is designed to reach destinations hundreds of miles away in minutes. Hop Aero is building its propulsion, aerostructures and autonomous-guidance team, with engine static-fire tests and flight tests planned ahead of defense demonstration contracts.
