Bekia raises $765K seed round led by Madica
Bekia raised $765,000 in seed funding led by Madica, with follow-on backing from Catalyst Fund and participation from Jambaar Capital.
The company plans to expand engineering, launch its first B2B software product, Bekia Next, and test the collection model in a second African market.
At the September announcement, Bekia reported more than 25,000 tonnes diverted from landfill, over 100,000 customers and more than 2,400 people earning through its network. Bekia Next is intended to turn that collection activity into auditable carbon-avoidance records for corporate clients.
