Anferra secures strategic investment from SKF and existing partners
SKF, Stephen Industries and Chalmers Ventures back pilot scaling and the move toward industrial recycling of steel grinding waste.
Investment to scale pilot operations
Anferra announced a strategic investment from SKF Group, Stephen Industries and Chalmers Ventures on June 25, 2026. The financing supports scaling its technology in pilot environments and progressing toward industrial implementation. The investment amount was not disclosed.
Industrial experience alongside capital
SKF brings application expertise and access to the industrial waste streams the technology is designed to recycle. Chalmers Ventures contributes research-based venture-building support, while Stephen Industries brings experience scaling deeptech and greentech companies. SKF described the investment as the first initiative from SKF Ventures, extending a collaboration that began during Anferra’s early development.
The next implementation step
The partners aim to take Anferra’s validated recycling technology into wider industrial use. Its process recovers water-treatment chemicals and other useful materials from steel grinding sludge, linking the development programme to waste-handling needs in manufacturing.
