Recovering materials from industrial waste
Anferra develops a process for recycling steel grinding sludge and swarf produced when manufacturers shape or polish steel using cutting fluids. It works with industrial waste streams to recover useful iron and alloy materials, offering an alternative to disposing of them through landfill or incineration.
Water-treatment chemicals and other outputs
Its hydrometallurgical process uses leaching, purification and filtration to produce iron chloride for water treatment, hydrogen gas and a recyclable solid residue. Anferra works with established partners and resellers of iron-based water-treatment coagulants; its development programme is moving the technology from validation toward industrial deployment.
