AMI Labs raises $1.03bn seed round for world-model research
Cathay Innovation, Greycroft, Hiro Capital, HV Capital and Bezos Expeditions co-lead the financing for the AI research company.
Capital for a long research program
AMI Labs announced a $1.03 billion financing on March 10, 2026, at a stated $3.5 billion pre-money valuation. Cathay Innovation, Greycroft, Hiro Capital, HV Capital and Bezos Expeditions co-led the round. The company plans to fund long-term research, hire internationally and develop systems that learn representations of the real world.
A broader strategic syndicate
The backers include Toyota Ventures, Temasek, NVIDIA and SBVA, alongside other institutions and individuals named in Cathay’s announcement. SBVA separately announced a €30 million commitment through its Alpha AI Architecture Fund. That commitment forms part of AMI’s financing; it is distinct from the size of the full round. Yann LeCun chairs the company, which is led by CEO Alexandre LeBrun.
