Allotera closes $35m Series C extension and venture debt

Formerly Wugen, Allotera adds equity and debt funding for pivotal Sofi-cel development and partners with Blood Cancer United.

New capital and a new company name

Allotera Therapeutics, formerly Wugen, announced $35 million in combined equity and venture debt on July 8, 2026. The financing builds on its $115 million Series C announced in late 2025, bringing the combined total to $150 million; the new announcement does not disclose the equity/debt split.

The extension includes Lightchain Capital, BioGenerator and Blood Cancer United’s Therapy Acceleration Program. Banc of California supplied the venture debt. Fidelity led the earlier Series C.

Proceeds primarily support the global pivotal T-RRex trial of Sofi-cel, alongside operating capacity and team growth. The Blood Cancer United partnership also provides scientific expertise, trial support and connections to patient communities.
