Town

United States · AI · Enterprise software

Town is a personal AI assistant that works across email, calendars, documents and messaging to handle tasks in a user’s connected tools.

Product

Town gives users a personal AI assistant, called a Townie, that learns their projects, contacts and working style. It can draft messages, prepare briefings, coordinate schedules and carry out tasks across connected business tools.

The company was founded by Jean-Denis Greze, formerly Plaid’s chief technology officer, and Tony Vincent, a former Google applied-AI product leader. It serves individuals and businesses that want assistance within their existing email, calendars, chat and applications.

Town is developing ways for assistants to coordinate across teams, including finding introductions and arranging meetings. Its product uses approval controls for actions and is designed to preserve the context that each person and company brings to their work.
