Reversible solid oxide fuel cell power plants that generate dispatchable electricity from gas and can store surplus power as storable gas.
What it does
In power mode, the system converts gas electrochemically rather than by combustion, and can separate concentrated CO₂ from the fuel stream. When it runs on biogas, the captured CO₂ is biogenic, enabling carbon-negative operation. In electrolysis mode, the system uses excess power to produce storable gases, allowing operators to switch between power generation and storage as energy needs change.
Who it serves
The modular plants are aimed at biogas operators, energy suppliers, industry and data centers seeking controllable on-site power or long-duration storage. Reverion says its M series is in customer operation and series production; its H series electrolysis product is still moving toward market readiness. The company is scaling manufacturing in Germany.
