An automated foundry for human tissue
Polyphron combines stem-cell-derived tissue production with automated experiments and AI phenotyping. Its tissue foundry runs sets of perturbations across three-dimensional human tissue constructs, measures how they change over time and uses active learning to select the next experimental conditions.
Experimental data for drug developers
Drug researchers can use the resulting tissues and response data to test therapeutic hypotheses in a human-relevant system. The company describes early programs in cardiac and cortical tissue and is expanding into additional tissues. Its longer-term Tissue World Model is intended to simulate tissue responses; the current platform's core work is producing tissue and experimentally measured data for model building and validation.
