POLASTECH, Inc.

Japan · Climate tech

A producer of adsorption materials and heat-pump systems that use low-temperature waste heat to generate cooling.

Using rejected heat as a cooling input

POLASTECH manufactures AQSOA zeolite and develops adsorption heat pumps around the material. These systems use low-temperature waste heat as their energy source to produce cooling, reducing the electricity required for cooling equipment.

The Tokyo company is adapting the approach for data centers, including configurations alongside liquid cooling. Its materials have commercial experience, while data-center systems are undergoing product development and partner demonstrations with operators, equipment manufacturers and energy businesses.
