Operations from development to flight
JAOPS works with mission teams on control systems, simulation environments, operating procedures and training. Its services include ground-system testing, live monitoring, mission planning and support for resolving anomalies.
The company combines proprietary tools with open-source software, including Yamcs. Teams can bring the mission-control system into their development and test work before spacecraft operations begin.
A shared operations service
Its Operations as a Service model spreads facilities, software and specialist personnel across customer missions. This gives spacecraft businesses an alternative to assembling every part of an operating team and control centre themselves.
The Tokyo company reports customers in Japan, Spain, France, the UK, South Korea and the US. It is developing its own mission-control infrastructure alongside its existing services for mission operators.
