Greencovery
Netherlands · Foodtech · Climate tech
Greencovery develops food ingredients from food-industry side streams, using separation processes to turn materials that would otherwise be discarded into functional ingredients for manufacturers.
Recovering ingredients from production leftovers
Greencovery applies its mild separation technology to food-industry side streams, extracting ingredients that can return to food production. Its public ingredient portfolio includes natural flavors, functional fibers and extracts; the company describes the process as using less energy and water than other separation techniques. It works with manufacturers to test whether a stream can yield an ingredient with the needed taste, function and nutritional properties.
From feasibility to commercial supply
The company’s work spans proof-of-concept trials, customer and market validation, process development and production scale-up. This makes Greencovery a technical and commercial partner for food producers that have a byproduct stream but need a viable ingredient and manufacturing route. The company reports initial commercial batches from cocoa side streams and is working with an industrial partner toward larger-scale production.
