FlamAid combines a personal alarm device with mobile location alerts and optional emergency monitoring.

FlamAid is a portable personal alarm linked to a mobile app. Pulling its ring activates a loud alarm and sends the user’s GPS location to trusted contacts.
Its premium subscription also routes alerts to a 24-hour monitoring centre operated by Grupo Control. The centre verifies the emergency and contacts the appropriate police or emergency service. This adds monitored response to the basic device-and-app service.
The Barcelona company was founded by Julieta Rueff and has built its leadership team with Mireia Mas, Lluís Castella Delgado and Dídac Cirilo. It is expanding operations and developing the subscription model around its personal-safety device.
