Adjuvia develops oral nanoparticle therapies intended to address mitochondrial dysfunction, starting with its ATI-105 program for rare diseases.
A delivery platform for mitochondrial disease
Adjuvia Therapeutics is developing small-molecule therapies delivered through an oral nanoparticle platform. Its lead candidate, ATI-105, contains an astaxanthin formulation designed to reach cells and mitochondrial membranes, including tissues beyond the blood-brain barrier.
The development strategy addresses oxidative stress and inflammation associated with mitochondrial dysfunction. Friedreich’s ataxia is the lead disease focus, with other rare mitochondrial conditions also in the pipeline. The company is exploring additional payloads and disease applications using the same delivery system; these are development programs rather than established patient benefits.
