ZuriQ raises $25.5m seed round to scale two-dimensional quantum chips
Quantonation leads funding for hiring, research and chip fabrication.
ZuriQ announced a $25.5 million seed round on July 28, led by Quantonation. FORWARD.one, Extantia, Firgun Ventures and the company’s previous investors participated.
The Swiss quantum hardware company will expand its team, research programme and chip fabrication. Its processors use a native two-dimensional trapped-ion design, aimed at increasing the number of qubits on a chip.
The financing follows a separate $4.2 million round in 2025. ZuriQ’s next step is to scale its demonstrated architecture toward larger processors and industrial applications.
