Yousician raises $28m Series B led by True Ventures
Amazon’s Alexa Fund and MPL Ventures join a financing round backing the music-learning and GuitarTuna apps.
Yousician announced a $28 million Series B on April 28, 2021, bringing its total funding to $35 million. True Ventures led the round, with new investors including Alexa Fund and MPL Ventures LLP, alongside individual technology and business investors.
The company reported that Yousician and GuitarTuna together reached 20 million monthly users and generated $50 million in revenue in 2020. The financing followed that growth as Yousician sought to broaden access to music instruction through software that listens to learners play and responds during practice.
