Valar Atomics raises $1bn Series B led by Sequoia
The nuclear company moves from reactor demonstrations towards fleet manufacturing.
Financing the manufacturing transition
Sequoia partner Shaun Maguire joins Valar’s board with the investment. The company also announced a separate $200 million credit facility involving Erebor Bank, J.P. Morgan, Crescent Cove and Hercules Capital.
The round follows Ward 250’s June criticality milestone and a demonstration powering NVIDIA computing hardware. Valar’s next step is to turn that test programme into repeatable reactor production, with fuel manufacturing and long-term operations inside the same business.
