Upstream announced $3 million in pre-seed funding alongside the public launch of its collaborative inbox.

The June 3 announcement names Y Combinator, Connect Ventures and Roosh Ventures, alongside founders and operators. Xavier Niel’s participation is through Kima Ventures.

Development priorities

The financing accompanies general availability after an invite-only beta. The company plans further product development, Android support and Outlook compatibility. These remain development plans rather than released capabilities.
