StandardX raises £10 million seed to build an isotope refinery
Its accelerator-based platform is designed to produce a broad portfolio of medical and industrial isotopes.
A single platform for isotope production
StandardX is developing an accelerator-based production system intended to make a range of isotopes from one industrial footprint. The company aims to supply materials for cancer diagnosis and treatment, where current production capacity is limited, and for industrial uses that depend on reliable isotope supply.
Starting with medical isotopes
The seed capital will support the company’s first medical isotope production and the build-out of its refinery. StandardX says it plans to supply its first isotopes to a medical research partner in 2027. Vsquared Ventures and East X Ventures co-led the round, with firstminute capital, UKI2S, Brevan Howard Macro Venture and Geometry participating.
