Snag raises $4m seed to expand rental verification and market reach
Slow Ventures led the round for the verified-sublet marketplace, with proceeds supporting engineering, data operations and renter acquisition.
Snag raised $4 million in seed funding led by Slow Ventures. Precursor Ventures, Long Journey Ventures, Chamaeleon, Sloane Stephens and Brian Kelly also participated.
The Brooklyn company will expand engineering and data operations, scale automated inventory-verification features and acquire users across major metropolitan rental markets.
Snag connects renters with sublets and lease takeovers. Before a listing goes live, it checks the sublessor's identity, matches photos to a real address and confirms lease details; the financing expands the systems behind that verification workflow.
