SCI Semiconductor raises £5m for ICENI production
PXN Ventures and Mercia Ventures co-led the round, with Osney Capital and Black Opal Ventures participating.
SCI plans to accelerate production of its memory-safe ICENI microcontrollers and develop a new generation of chips in the UK.
The first devices have been fabricated. The company reports more than £2m in orders and £7.7m in government contracts, providing a customer and development base for the production ramp.
The chip family targets embedded and critical systems, including infrastructure, defense and medical applications.
