Relativity Networks raises $22m for hollow-core optical networking
A separate $40m customer order follows trials of its fiber between data centers, linking new financing with commercial demand.
Connecting AI campuses across longer distances
The financing uses a SAFE, an agreement for future equity. Rhapsody Venture Partners, Bell Ventures and Faster Than Glass participated. The $40m order is a customer contract and is separate from the capital raised.
Relativity’s hollow-core fiber carries light through air to reduce transmission latency. Its ChronoCore technology targets connections between AI data centers, helping operators spread facilities across locations with access to power. The company said an unnamed hyperscaler placed the follow-on order after testing the technology between two data centers.
