Piston raises $15m Series A for cardless fleet fuel payments
FPV Ventures led the round in Piston’s network linking commercial fleets with fuel retailers.
Authorizing fuel at the pump
Piston connects commercial fleets with gas stations and convenience stores through mobile payment authorization at the point of sale. Drivers can pay without a physical fuel card, while fleet managers see spending tied to individual drivers and vehicles; the company says this also reduces card fraud and transaction costs.
The network includes Piston Guard for anomaly detection and Piston Analytics Agent for fuel-spending analysis. Piston says the Series A brings its total funding to $22.5 million.
